Job Title: Installation Technician – Private 5G Networks
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Installation Technician to perform installations of private 5G networks for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring 5G network equipment and software, ensuring that installations are completed to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure 5G network equipment and software, including base stations, routers, switches, and antennas
- Work with project managers to ensure that installations are completed on time and within budget
- Conduct site surveys and prepare installation plans, ensuring that all installations are completed in compliance with local regulations and standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installations, escalating issues to appropriate personnel as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date installation records, including equipment inventory, installation dates, and maintenance logs
- Provide training to clients on the use of 5G network equipment and software
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge and best practices, and contribute to the improvement of installation processes
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or technical certification in a related field is a plus
- Proven experience in the installation and configuration of telecommunications equipment, preferably 5G network equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals
- Familiarity with networking concepts, such as IP addressing, subnetting, and routing
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and to adapt to changing project requirements
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments, climb ladders, and lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
